CLASS SCHEDULE 2011/2012


HOW TO GET A CANADIAN VISA

Applicants must:

 (a)Be 18 years old by the first day of class
 (b)Meet Canadian visa requirements
 (c)Must have medical insurance. Please arrange youfre insurance before leaving your country; alternatively, we can offer comprehensive medical protection for you at $2.00/day on arrival.

Before you register, please check the Canadian Visa requirements for your country at your nearest Canadian Embassy/Consulate. In most cases, you will require a Study Permit for study terms of 6 months or longer. Study Permits can take up to 2 months to process so you should allow for this time when you register

If you require a student visa

 (d)To apply to program Register now
 (e)To pay to joint venture school or AIHI. The letter of school acceptance will mail to you.
 (f)A letter from your bank showing sufficient funds
 (g)A valid passport
 (h)A Medical exam may require
 (i)Go to the nearest Canadian embassy for submission your application

IMPORTANT:Please contact us to let us know when and how to expect payment.

Registration and accommodation placement fees must be paid before your application will be processed. All fees are required 30 days before your start date; otherwise, your program may be cancelled. Payments may be made by:

  1. Bank Transfe
  2. Credit Card
  3. Money Order/Bank Cheque
  4. Cash or Travelers Schedules

TO CONFIRM YOUR DATE OF ARRIVAL:
Please confirm your arrival plans in advance. We will arrange the driver or host family to pick you up at the airport

FIRST DAY IN VANCOUVER

 (a)Please call AIHI 604-339-5717 for the first of your schooling
 (b)Carry a map showing directions to your school and your home, as you may need to ask for help.
 (c)Bring your study confirmation documents and proof of medical insurance.
 (d)We also require 2 passport-size photos for your Student ID card
(if not sent with your application).

REFUND POLICY FOR INTERNATION STUDENTS
An international student is a person who is not a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant or who has been determined under the immigration Act to be a Convention Refugee.

International students require a Study permit to study in Canada unless they are taking a course or program with a duration of six months or less, are a minor child already in Canada whose parents are not gVisitorsh in Canada or are a family or staff member of a foreign representative to Canada accredited by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Where an institution enters into a contract with an International student the following refund policy is applicable.

Student Authorization Related Withdrawals

(1)
An institution may retain the lesser of 25% of the total fees due under the contract or $200 by international students who
 (a)are denied Study Permit authorization from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, or
 (b)do not receive authorization prior to the start of the program of study, provided that
  
  1. the student notifies the institution of the circumstances subsection (1) (a) or (b) on or before the first day of a program of study is scheduled to begin and
  2. The student, within a reasonable time, provides documentation of the circumstances in subsection (1) (a) or (b) to the institution.

Non-student Authorization Related Withdrawals

(2)
When an international student enrolled with and/or studying at an institution on the basis of a Study Permit either withdraws from or is dismissed by the institution, the institution is required to notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada within fourteen (14) calendar days that the student has either withdrawn or been dismissed.

Refunds before a program of study starts:

 (a)Your non-fundable registration fee of $200 and a $220 placement fee ( if housing is required) are due at the time of registration
 (b)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made, and before the program starts, the institution may retain the lesser of 25% of the total fees due under the contract or $400.
 (c)Subject to subsection (3)(b), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution thirty (30) calendar days or more before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 25% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (d)Subject to subsection (3)(b), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than thirty (30) calendar days before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 40% of the total fees due under the contract.

Refunds after the program of study starts:

 (a)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed within 10% of the program of studyfs duration, the institution may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (b)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed, within 10% and before 30% of a program of studyfs duration, the institution may retain 70% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (c)If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the program of studyfs duration, no refund is required.

Rejection by Immigration Canada

  (a) Students unable to obtain a visa are entitled to a full refund less all Non-Refundable Fees.
  (b) Students must request for a refund in writing two weeks prior to the start of their course
  (c) Student must return the original Letter of Acceptance with a copy of the rejection letter issued by Immigration Canada to your registrar as soon as possible, otherwise Cancellation policies will apply to the refund

REFUND POLICY FOR DOMESTIC STUDENTS
A domestic student is a person who is a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant.

Written notice must be provided:
 (a)by a student to the institution when the student withdraws,
 or 
 (b)do not receive authorization prior the start of the program of study, provided that
Where total fees have not yet been collected, the institution is not responsible for refunding more than has been collected to date.

Refunds before a program of study starts:

 (a)Your non-fundable registration fee of $150 and a $220 placement fee ( if housing is required) are due at the time of registration
 (b)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made, and before the program starts, the institution may retain the lesser of 10% of the total fees due under the contract or $400.
 (c)Subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution thirty (30) calendar days or more before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 10% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (d)Subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than thirty (30) calendar days before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 20% of the total fees due under the contract.

Refunds after the program of study starts:

 (a)If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution or a student is dismissed within 10% of the program of studyfs duration, the institution may retain 30% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (b)Subject to subsection (3)(a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed, within 30% of a program of studyfs duration, the institution may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.
 (c)If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the program of studyfs duration, no refund is required.
